Hanna and her husband live on the Maine coast — an 1830s farmhouse with rambling additions over the years, two beautiful old barns, and stone walls galore. It is a never ending project. The initial renovation phase included two new bathrooms with handmade tiles, restoring all of the plaster walls with New Age Artisans plaster, installing an oversized special closet millwork, and bringing in locally milled red birch floors to replace lead paint laden originals. Vintage Scandinavian rugs, a mix of vintage furniture and Maine-made pieces, and joyful, colorful art are the cherries on top.
